Postdocs
We are looking for research fellows with experience in microbiology, biochemistry, bioenergetics and animal models. Preferably the candidate has experience in working with Mycobacterium tuberculosis in a BSLIII environment. The Berney lab is focused on understanding how M. tuberculosis adapts to the host environment metabolically and bioenergetically. We identify vulnerable pathways that are then exploited for drug discovery.
Required:
Ph.D. in Microbiology or Biochemistry
Broad skill base in bacterial genetics and biochemical assays
Strong record of research experience and productivity
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent record keeping and data presentation
Recommended:
Expertise in metabolomics
Expertise in bioenergetics
Experience with in vivo models of infectious diseases, e.g. murine models
Graduate Students
Students interested in pursuing Ph.D. studies within the laboratory should apply to the Einstein Graduate Program in the Biomedical Sciences or the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP).
